I don't know if this is going to be the new trend, but looks as if Lupe wants to hang up the mic (at least recording wise) after his 3rd album appropriately titled L.U.P.End. With his second album set to release Dec 18th he told Pitchfork that he's tired of the entire process of getting an album out and would much rather perform.

My question is...who is going to want to see you perform 5 years after your last album? You look at groups like Wu Tang & A tribe Called Quest who've had successful tours mainly playing their older music, but only because of the strong fan base that took years to build. Is Lupe's catalog that thorough that he can pack a venue 5 years from now?
