I posted a story about the reuniting of New Kids on the Block a few days ago sorta poking fun at it (...well yea I did actually poke fun). But yo, this new joint caught me way off guard. The beat is fresh and the Bean Town Boys did their thing, I can't be mad.

Check my homie in crime, Mr. Never Sold Crack himself BK Cyph lend a couple verses. Download link is available below:

Looks like Busta's 1st single "We Made It" will include Linkin Park. The song is produced by Cool & Dre as well as Mike Shinoda.

Busta Rhymes will drop verses with Linkin Park when they guest on Busta's new single, "We Made It." The track, which was produced by Cool & Dre and Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, will introduce the Rapper's eighth studio album, Blessed, which is due June 17, according to Billboard.com. Shinoda and LP frontman Chester Bennington also will appear in the video. "This is one of those songs that can't be described better than touching the souls of the common people," Rhymes said.

RIP New Line Cinema

Author: RL

Wow, this is crazy news. New Line Cinema are responsible for creating the ever popular Nightmare on Elm Street series among countless films since the mid 80's. I wonder where this puts the Night Mare on Elm Street remake that was in the works.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Time Warner Inc will cut 450 jobs from New Line Cinema in a highly anticipated move following an earlier decision to fold the movie studio under the wing of Warner Bros Entertainment.

About 40 of New Line's employees will be offered new jobs at Warner Bros in positions that will not displace existing Warner Bros jobs, a Time Warner spokesman said.

Employees are being informed on Monday and Tuesday.

About 40 to 50 existing New Line employees will remain at the division renowned for its blockbuster hit franchises, including the "Lord of the Rings" series.

LMAO...damn talk about being ahead of your time. The FBI reportedly bought a sex tape of Marilyn Monroe's for $1.5 Million.

The footage appears to have been shot in the 1950s. When it came to light in the mid-'60s, then-FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover had his agents spend two weeks futilely trying to prove that Monroe's sex partner was either John F. Kennedy or Robert F. Kennedy, according to declassified agency documents and interviews, Morgan said.

Can we get a "leakage" please? LOL

This looks hard! WWE is killin me with their video games and haven't improved the gameplay since No Mercy on the N64 (which is being released on the Wii console with updated rosters from what I've been told).

I definitely might have to cop this.

I wonder if this kid realizes he's becoming an overnight celeb LOL. This shit is too much. Thanks Fyfe

I can't wait for this game!

LOL...this is pretty fresh.

This is big news for this year's draft. This kid at 6'9 is an animal. The Heat arguably could have the #1 pick in the lottery having the worst record in the league this year. But we all know the lottery isn't 100% guaranteed (as seen with Boston last year).

The trailer looks insane already. Can't wait for this one.

Word is Mark is checkin to see the response on the shirt to release a line.

Please say it's so!!!

I guess they released the video after all. This was supposed to be the lead single to The Roots upcoming album but "mysteriously" was ousted off the album completely. But here's the video.

For you porn-a-holics, see if you recognize the main girl in the video.

And yep...another Rik Cordero video.

Not the way you're thinkin LOL. Apparently Big Boi has landed a gig providing his musical touch to a ballet choreographed by Lauri Stallings.

The Ballet opens this Thursday in Atlanta

Big Boi's contemporary style may seem inherently different from the traditional and classical sounds that normally echo through an Atlanta Ballet performance. But, Stallings said, as a choreographer it's not a stretch to equate one of hip-hop's biggest names with some of the most venerated composers who are usually the backdrop for traditional ballets.

After years of speculation & 2 Directors later it seems as if The Hobbit is finally coming along. Here's an excerpt from Guillermo del Toro about the highly anticipated film:

I am dying to share news but I have to be patient and wait until the papers are done and my attachment is real. Nevertheless- a LOT of progress in defining the films, their cast and crew. And, may I add, we are all happily in synch about all creative aspects so far and all willing and eager to move forth.

Sorry I haven't posted anything the past couple days. Moving can be a bitch!

But let's see...oh yea there were some fights this weekend.

The highly anticipated date of April 12th pitted both HBO & Showtime cards simultaneously with HBO showcasing the rematch between Antonio Margarito and Kermit Cintron and the main event consisting of WBA Welterweight Champ Miguel Cotto going against The Contender's Alfonso Gomez. Showtime's card was a Light Heavyweight double header with former champ Glen Johnson vs Chad Dawson & Antonio Tarver vs Clinton Woods.

Johnson vs Woods

The first fight I caught was Glen Johnson vs Chad Dawson. Man...what a fuckin fight! Both dudes were just trading punches throughout the entire fight. I think Johnson landed the harder and cleaner shots, but Woods came to fight too and was landing some bombs. But in the end they gave a UD to Woods 116-112 which is disputable, but regardless both men put on a crazy fight.

Margarito vs Cintron II

Sometimes I give fighters too many chances to impress me, but I think this was my last straw with Kermit Cintron. O)nce again Antonio Margarito beat the shit out of Kermit Cintron who's defense paralleled a one-armed midget. Cintron kept complaining during the fight saying Margarito was hitting him in the back of the head. In the end Margarito's pressure was too much as he laid out Cintron with a vicious body shot in the 6th round.

Cotto vs Gomez

The pic above says it all. All the naysayers and Cotto haters got a small yet impressive dose of an almost new Miguel Cotto who boxed, outclassed, and man handled Alfonso Gomez to a 5th round stoppage by ringside Dr (wow). Cotto looks a lot faster and if you don't mind me saying...flashier than I've ever seen him. Grant it Gomez wasn't at any time what most would call a "Potential Threat" (contrary to what some fools were telling me prior to the fight LOL). Cotto's constant pressure and body shots were just too much for Gomez as he looked like he got jumped by 2 guys.

So what's next??

Only the long awaited match up between Antonio Margarito (now IBF Welterweight Champ) and Miguel Cotto (WBA Champ) set for July 26th.

This should be one hell of a fight. I'll give my predictions as it comes closer to fight time, but this has Fight of the Year written all over it. Take note Floyd...

Tarver vs Woods

I hadn't seen much of Clinton Woods before this fight, but many were saying he was another great European fighter who would take Tarver to the limit. Well...that did NOT happen here. Tarver came in great shape and was the quicker & cleaner puncher throughout fight. Woods looked very stiff and didn't seem to know how to neutralize Tarver's jab. Tarver took a 12 rd UD.

And Next Week...

Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Calzaghe for BHop's Ring Light Heavyweight title...and it's on HBO (Thank God)!! I'll talk more about this later in the week.

This is a remake of a Spanish horror movie called Rec. that came out last year over seas.

Of course, we must have a US version. But if this as good or better than the original, you'll be in for a treat.

Synopsis
The movie tells the story about a news reporter and a cameraman, a group of firefighters and the the local residents of an apartment building, locked in the apartment building by officials...when a deadly virus is discovered infecting the population of the building, turning the infected into the unthinkable.

I saw this video last year, but some of you may or may have not seen it. Pretty funny stuff and also includes a small cameo by 9th Wonder.

If you're reading this Just, You ain't got shit on me homeboy!

One of my favorite Jamiroquai joints. If you haven't heard this group's music, missing out isn't even a term I can use. Get Wid it!!!

For those who don't know, HBO Boxing commentator Max Kellerman was a rapper along with his late brother in the early 90's in a group simply titled Max & Sam...and they were signed to Ruffhouse (WTF?)

Honestly, this joint ain't that bad. Kinda fits what Kellerman eventually turned out to be.

I read some rumors about this a few months back, but realistically it was a long shot with Tyson, I believe, living outside the country and not in any shape to box and Holyfield...well...It's Holyfield.

But now talks are being brought up against and sources are claiming the fight is in the works for a possible September date in Missouri.

The sad shit is that I'd actually would like to see this fight more than any of the other potential fights the disgraceful Heavyweight division has to offer.

WTF is wrong with these kids??? Apparently a bunch of Cheerleaders set this girl up and brought her to their crib and beat her to the point where she's deaf in one ear and has damage to one of her eyes.

If you're 16-17 yrs old and you do some dumb shit like this, you deserve what you get. Throw them hoes in the cell.

Personally, I couldn't be more proud for dude.

Here's an interview conducted by HipHopDX where he talks about his new album (mostly produced by The Neptunes??) as well as his upcoming movies.

Interview excerpts:
DX: Common, what’s interesting is how on the screen you’re primarily these tough guys, but on your CDs you’re one of the most likable cats in the worlds. You like walking both sides?
C: When I first began acting, I would tell my teacher that I wanted to do some dark roles. I’m always viewed as the poet, conscious, loving guy. That’s who I am. That’s the core of me. But there are some darker things that I felt could be expressed. It also gave me the opportunity to be an actor, to take on a role that was different from me. When you’re playing yourself, you don’t get acknowledged. For me, as an artist, I feel it’s more challenging to be an actor that takes on roles that really become a character who does things different from who I am. I’ve done some of these dark characters. I’m looking forward to doing something like playing a priest or a banker. I have had guns in most of my films. This is total opposite of...

Wow...I didn't see this coming.

Tim Sylvia recently parted ways with Dana White & the UFC, so this fight actually makes sense and is a good tune up for Fedor as a super fight between Fedor & Randy Couture is tentatively scheduled for November of this year.

I got Fedor by stoppage.

Top ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko (Pictures) will fight Tim Sylvia (Pictures) on July 19. The Russian mixed martial arts champion confirmed the bout to Sherdog.com on Tuesday.

"[Sylvia] is a good fighter, a strong fighter, the former UFC heavyweight champion, which is important," Emelianenko said via telephone from Stary Oskol, Russia. "I am looking forward to fighting him and training hard for this fight."

LMAO! All I Can Say...

This will be Pac's first fight at Lightweight. I honestly don't think Diaz has anything Pac hasn't seen before. Diaz is coming off a big win against Erik Morales last year and a win against Manny would be huge.

The main issue has to be the weight and if Manny can transfer over his speed and power to the Lightweight Division. The fight will be on HBO PPV.

Are we close to a Pacquiao vs Hatton fight for 2009??? With Hatton on Golden Boy now, anything's possible.

I'm pullin for Kermit. I still think Margarito is overrated.

According to Live Nation, both May & Jay are doing a killing on their tour off the 1st 8 dates grossing approximately $9 Million and are eying a total of over $33 Million over 28 dates.

Shouldn't these 2 just do a fuckin album together? How crazy would that be!

Oh man...this is really horrible. Apparently Miguel Cotto is dropping long time trainer / Uncle Evangelista Cotto. There's history of some trouble between the 2 but was kept under wraps.

The question automatically becomes, who's going to train Cotto now? Well sources are saying his new trainer is none other than Buddy McGirt.

He will relocate his training from Puerto Rico to Florida following his fight this Saturday against Alfonso Gomez.

I really don't like this move at all. McGirt hasn't been a successful trainer for quite sometime now and I don't see how he's going to improve Cotto anymore or get him to an elite status prepping for a future super fight against Floyd Mayweather.

This blows...

Rest of the story:
BoxingScene.com

**Update**
Cotto Sr. has stated that the news of Evangelista Cotto leaving as Miguel's trainer are false and that the camp will remain as is. I still think there's internal problems, but at least Buddy McGirt is out of the picture.

Great game. Calipari made some crucial coaching mistakes along with missed free throws from Memphis. But those were definitely the 2 best teams in the country playing for the National Title. Congrats to Kansas.

This is from Ms Jones' show on Hot 97 this morning.

50: "Floyd's no longer undefeated" LOL

But he did admit it wasn't a full fledged fight and more like a scuffle.

LOL...saw this on Mick Boogie's page. This is a parody to Jimmy Kimmel's "I'm Fucking Matt Damon (and Ben Affleck)" sketches.

This was the same show which featured Common & Jazzy Jeff in Miami last week.

Am I the only one who thinks Tito should just hang it up already? Who can he realistically fight that won't beat him at 168?

"HBO has offered us the last week of September or the first one of October to have the fight with Taylor. And later we would be able to go against the winner of the fight between Joe Calzaghe and Hopkins," said King to El Nuevo Dia.

Some notables over the weekend...

Actor & Activist Charlton Heston passed away on Saturday due to unknown circumstances. He was widely known for his role in the original Planet of the Apes & Ben Hur. He was 84.

Jay & Beyonce Finally Tie the Knot?

Word is they finally tied the knot for a private gathering of close friends and family. It's also been said they're having a 2nd ceremony in France next month (Money Aint A Thang is for sure...). Some that attended the wedding were Beyonce's parents, Jay's mom, and Gweneth Paltrow (who's a close friend of Beyonce).

North Carolina Takes a nasty "L" in the Final Four

Talk about an overall ass whipin. At one point Kansas was up 40-13 only for UNC to make a comeback closing the lead down to 5. But Kansas was too much for them and won a trip to the NCAA Championship game beating UNC 84-66.

Pulled this from IESB.NET. Definitely a dope concept for Devastator I believe that appeared in either the comic or cartoon sometime with the rest of the Construction Decepticons.

So according to Floyd, Cotto has to be his own "CEO" to get a fight with Floyd (SMH).
I understand there's a problem with Bob Arum (Top Rank Promoter)and Floyd from their past relationship, but does he really think a Cotto vs Floyd fight won't generate any money??? Is he out of his mind???

2009 can't be here any sooner...

Good luck finding this album now. Definitely one of the great late 90's Hip Hop albums that came out of the West Coast and spawned the career of Madlib (and Quasimoto).

This pic was taken by someone driving on the 405 Freeway in LA. There have been talks about the filming of Transformers 2 through out LA the past few weeks. If this isn't an obvious sign, I don't know what is.

Damn...2009 is going to be nuts!

The movie tells the story about a woman under house arrest for killing her husband in self-defence. However, house arrest proves more difficult for her when she realizes that her husbands' violent spirit haunts the house. Stars Famke Janssen (aka Jean Grae)

LMAO...oh man how are they going to replicate this movie 20 years later? I wonder if they're going to holla at Debarge for the soundtrack single LOL.

From www.comingsoon.net
Dimension Films has acquired rights to remake the 1986 film, Short Circuit, reports Variety.

The original introduced Number 5, a robot built by the military to be a highly sophisticated weapon. It developed a conscience and a personality after being hit by lightning, and then needed the help of humans after it was targeted for destruction by its makers, once it became a peacenik.

S.S. Wilson and Brent Maddock, who created the characters and wrote both "Short Circuit" films, have been hired to write the remake.

David Foster and Ryan E. Heppe will produce with John Hyde.

News is starting to surface about the sudden death of one of the original Rocksteady Crew members Frosty Freeze. No info has been released yet about the cause of death.
He was definitely a pioneer in the world of B Boyin and Hip Hop all around.

BTW: If ya'll are "Hip Hop heads" and you've never seen this movie, smack yourselves.

**Update** Word is Frosty (Real name Wayne Frost)was suffering from a long illness. My condolences to his family and the entire RSC.

LOL...this is kinda funny. This kid claims Polow Da Don took stock sounds from the GarageBand program for the Mac and made the new Usher song Make Love in the Club. These days the argument of what you use to make a beat is thrown out the window considering a lot of these programs are stepping their game up.

Not necessarily yet. Words is he's reading a script based on the hit 80's TV show that starred Tom Selleck as the OG PI.

From ComingSoon.Net
Entertainment Weekly reports that Matthew McConaughey has been offered the role of Thomas Magnum in Universal Pictures' adaptation of "Magnum P.I.," based on the hit '80s TV series that starred Tom Selleck.

McConaughey is reportedly reading the script from writer/director Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) and will decide shortly.

LOL...this is brilliant. IGN.com made a mock trailer for a Zelda movie. The crazy thing is the shit looks like it would be sick!

Take a look:

Wouldn't it be dope if they had Floyd as a secret character? LOL. It'll be available for both PS3 & Xbox 360

This is pretty big news as far as the record industry is concerned. Jay has 1 album left with Def Jam and from there Live Nation (who primarily work with Rock & Country acts) will be handling all his entertainment ventures (music, concerts, etc) and subsequently is trying to make a new Music Industry model to follow in the coming years.

Props to the WWE for giving Flair a respectable and emotional farewell filled with surprise guests.

Yea Yea it's only the 1st game of the season...but fuck it, Santana looked great. My main issue last year was the lack of pitching. The bats still seem to be there and they still got a fairly young squad. People are going to hate, but let's see how they pan put up until All Star Break.

I think I posted this a while back, but fuck it...these joints are hard! I missed out on the OG's (but stole them from my younger brother in High School LOL). Definitely coppin these! They're retailing at $135

LOL. I'm not going to bother posting the other ones. The song on this alone makes it post worthy, LOL...trust me

Wresltemania XXIV has come and gone. The major push for the annual PPV this year was obviously Floyd Mayweather vs Big Show. But that match had nothing on what this weekend meant to Pro Wrestling.

This was undoubtedly Ric Flair's weekend. Not only was he inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but he wrestled his last match against none other than Shawn Michaels. Flair at 59 can still put on a show and both HBK and Flair put on great performances with an almost theatrical ending as HBK super kicked a beaten Flair signaling the end of an era. Everyone in the Citrus Bowl was on their feet applauding, crying, and giving thanks to the Greatest Wrestler of All Time.

Here's a vid of backstage after the match (watch while you can...you know how Youtube does):
